Title: Mesoscopic physics of photons in cold atomic gases

Abstract:

The main features of coherent multiple scattering of photons by cold atomic gases are presented. We shall see how the existence of additional degrees of freedom of the photon-atom system (polarization and Zeeman sublevels) leads to new mesoscopic effects in coherent backscattering, speckle patterns, dephasing and decoherence.
