Title: Experiments at High Landau Levels in Correlated 2D Electron Systems

Abstract: Past focus in experimental studies of correlated 2D systems has been on the lowest Landau level, yet recent work has revealed numerous surprises at lower magnetic fields. In this talk I will review three specific areas of experimental interest in this part of the magnetic field spectrum: 1) studies of 5/2 filling factor and possible composite fermion pairing to form the ground state, 2) determination of stripe phase formation and its orientation in the higher Landau levels, and 3) radiation induced oscillations in magnetoresistance and possible new zero-resistance states at very low magnetic fields.
