Title: Filling up the quantum toolbox: experiments with quantum gases, quantum gates, and atom fibers.

Abstract: We are developing building blocks for quantum manipulation of atoms. We have discovered a fast and easy way to make an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate that employs only optical techniques, and we have built the first storage ring for neutral atoms. I will tell of these things as well as a atom + optical cavity QED system for quantum communication and computing.
